GA4 Event Tracking: What You Really Need to Measure
Forget page views. We show you which events actually represent inquiries.

Most trade websites have no tracking. That means: you invest in a website but don't know if it generates inquiries. It's like a shop without a register -- you don't know what's being sold.
These 5 events you should track from day 1: 1) Phone clicks (tel: links): How many visitors click your number? 2) Form submissions: How many fill out the contact form? 3) CTA clicks: Which buttons are being clicked? 4) WhatsApp clicks: If you offer WhatsApp. 5) Page flow: What path do visitors take through your site?
For the setup, we use Rybbit Analytics (privacy-first, no cookie banner needed) together with Google Search Console. Rybbit shows you the events, GSC shows you which search terms you rank for.
The dashboard is deliberately simple: calls per week, forms per week, top 3 pages by inquiries. You don't need more at the beginning. What matters is that you look at it regularly and make decisions based on the data.
